Mozilla released bug report 1225293 today which indicates company’s plans to add Microsoft Silverlight support in its Winx64 version of Firefox. Firefox 64-bit build for Windows, for now is available only on the download archive of Mozilla which probably means that it is still under trial. Silverlight is not working when I try watching movies on Netflix. Firefox add-on 'slogger' no longer supported with Firefox 3.x
Hello everyone, I did some research on my own to find a replacement or a way to make it work with Firefox 3.x since I found it so convenient. Since this was not really successful I turn to the group if anyone has advice :-) slogger is an add-on that (as I configured it) keeps a monthly log of URLs that I loaded (with timestamps) and a text-only-version of the pages (named with the timestamp) so that I can do full-text-search. Whenever I didn't remember where I had been seeing some information I searched through these logs and I did find what I was looking for quite ...

Kind of at my wits end with this one.
I just did a format and fresh install of my OS, Win 7 Home Premium 64-bit. This was not in an attempt to fix any problem, only a matter of regular PC maintenance, but the point is I'm on a fresh install.
I installed Firefox 17 and then Silverlight in order to watch Netflix. First red flag is that the Silverlight install site reported the following:
You are running on a browser that may not be fully compatible with Microsoft Silverlight
So I'm guessing that page either hasn't been updated to detect Firefox 17, or the browser's capabilities aren't being properly reported. However, it turns out that may be true, because I can't get any Silverlight video to work. Trying to watch a video Netflix on simply loads to an unresponsive black screen. Trying to watch demo videos on the Silverlight site leads to the plugin immediately crashing with that being reported in a notification bar.
What's really odd though is that non-video Silverlight stuff does work. For example, the 3D animated avatars on xbox.com use Silverlight and they work fine as does the Case Studies viewer on the Silverlight site.
Silverlight video is working fine in IE9 so it does not appear to be a problem with Silverlight itself. I've already tried enabling and disabling hardware acceleration in Silverlight's settings to no effect. Tried un/re-installing both Firefox and Silverlight a few times to no effect.
Any ideas?
